The Clark Mansion was built in the 1870s by William Clark the founder of the Clark Thread Company. The mansion was built with ornate wood paneling and mantels, a massive front staircase, decorative ceilings and a large stained glass window. The cost of the mansion was $200.00. The next occupant of the home was the Prospect Hill Day School until the building was purchased by the North Ward Center.
